In September 2014, The Adult Day Center of Somerset County in Bridgewater planted a seed in the form of a Horticultural Therapy (HT) program, thanks to a grant from the Grotta Fund for Senior Care of the Jewish Community Foundation Metro West NJ. Twenty-two bimonthly, one-hour workshops called Horticultural Connections since last September have produced a bountiful harvest for the ADC members, students and staff from the New Road School, and ADC staff and volunteers.
